Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County Master Gardener program 

A 150 hour volunteer commitment is required over a 2 year period after successful  completion of the formal training.

The goal of the Master Gardener Training Program is:
• To educate home gardeners in practical, environmentally friendly horticulture methods and related topics.
• To train home gardeners to be multipliers of information to the public through our Horticulture Center, Demonstration & Community Gardens, lectures and plant clinics.
